21. Game Protocol
Game Day Protocols are 1-2 page documents that detail the tasks and responsibilities of all teams participating in an NCJLA game or event. These sheets include information regarding: confirming officials, confirming team participation, weather-related logistics, home team responsibilities and host team responsibilities. The NCJLA reviews and updates all age division game protocols annually before posting them to the website.
Clubs will be sent laminated copies in early February for each team to have at the score table during games. Please email
to update the shipping address or to request additional copies for your club.
The tasks or responsibilities on the Game Protocol documents must be completed in order for officials to officiate the game.
Protocols to Protect Junior Officials
Junior officials must have the name and onsite contact information for a responsible adult at the venue they will be working. Failure to provide a working phone number (cell preferred) for a junior official to contact in an emergency could result in your club not receiving officials for future games.
